Rosendal Kino

I kveld ankom jeg Växjö med tog, sjekket inn på hotellet og gikk en liten tur rundt i byen. Det var stille, alt var stengt, så jeg gikk tilbake til hotellet igjen. Det jeg kunne se av byen når jeg gikk her i mørket var at det ser ut som en koselig liten by, og man kan lett se for seg gatene fulle av mennesker en varm sommerdag, men i dag var det veldig stille.

Tonight I arrived Växjö by train, checked in at the hotel and went for a walk in teh city. It was quiet and closed so I went back to the hotel after a short walk. From what I could see of the city it looked cozy, and there is not problem imagining the streets crowded with people a beautiful summer day, but today it was very quiet.

I dag tidlig leste jeg Adresseavisen som e-avis på nett, og her leste jeg noe som irriterte meg litt, og jeg håper flere av Trondheims befolkning gjør som jeg og melder seg inn i støttegruppa for Rosendal Kino på Facebook.

This morning I was reading my local newspaper online, and I read something that pissed me off, just a little. And I hope more people from Trondheim do as I did, join the supportgroup for Rosendal Kino (cinema) on Facebook.

Artikkelen jeg leste omhandlet framtidig bruk av Rosendal Kino i Trondheim. Dette bygget har vært brukt som arena for Filmklubben og som arena for konserter for musikkelskende i de siste årene. Rosendal-pubben holdt hus her i mange år, før Trondheim Kommune for en tid tilbake kastet ut leietageren i hensikt å selge bygget. Salget ble stoppet på grunn av massive protester, og nå har flere meldt sin interesse i bygget.

The article I read was about the future use of a old culture building in Trondheim called Rosendal Kino. This building has been used as an arena for the Filmclub in Tronheim and as a Concertarena for the musicloving people in Trondheim. The Rosendal Pub was located here for years, until the county kicked them out to sell the building. The sale was stopped according to massive protests, and now a few participants has shown their interest in the building.

I dag er det egentlig 2 mulige løsninger

Today there are 2 possible solutions for the building:

1. Bruke huset som filmklubbens domene

1. Use the house for the Filmclub only

2. Bruke huset som kulturhus, hvor både konserter, film og pub har plass

2. Use the house a culture house where Film, Concerts and Pub will be included

Alternativ 2 frontes av musikeren Morten Diesel Dahl, og han har mange med seg på laget, både fra næringslivet og idrettsprofiler i Trondheim. De ønsker å renovere bygget og ha en langsiktig plan for bruken.

The last alternativ is fronted by the musician Morten Diesel Dahl, with a lot of people behind him, both from the local businesses and sportsprofiles in Trondheim. They want to renovate the building and make longterm plans for the usage.

"Alle" ser at dette er det beste alternativet, men allikevel heller Bystyret mot å gi huset til Filmklubben, som da blir en meget berenset gruppe.

"Everyone" see that this is the best alternativ, but still the town cousil is still closing in on giving the building to the Filmclub, which will give a limited access.

Jeg vil ha Rosendal-puben tilbake, konsertarenaen og så kan filmklubben også låne lokalene ved behov. Da får alle interessentene ta del i stedet.

I want The Rosendal Pub back and the concert hall, and the Filmclub can have their time as well. Then everyone can enjoy the place.
