Then it was time for the last festival of the season, Oktober Rock in Orkanger. Astrid and I went to Orkanker with great expectations and excited for another festival and to see another one of the good old great bands, on, most likely, one of their last tour. Nazareth.
A lot of local bands warmed up the crowd before Nazareth entered the stage, and as usual we were right in front of the stage, and when Nazareth finally entered the stage, 2 things were clear immideately:
1. The sound was terrible, we could not hear the vocal and the what was said in the mic
2. It was a lot of pressure from behind than on any concert I have been to, and as the observant reader already know, I have been to my share of concerts.
But we had a lot of fun, and we laughed a lot with the guards. The lead singer, Dan McCafferty, danced schottish reel and played a bagpipe, but when I asked him to repeat the reel so that I could get a picture, he laught and shaked his head :)Jeg har kommentert bildene nedenfor.
I have commented the pictures below.

I thought this was a cool picture of the festivals first band - Session. More people arrived later.
Like spesielt godt deres versjon av Cindy Laupers Time after time.

The next band to enter the stage was also a local band called Bänzin (rewrite of the word gasolin). De were also good, but lacked the "style". The bass-player had a Beatles on the 70's look. One of the guitarist had the look partially with tattoos, but lookwise they could have been a popband. When thats said: There was not doubt that the music was ROCK!!!

The wall is a Pink Floyd tribute band, that also gave a positive impression. It should be said that hardly any Pink Floys tunes are standard 3 minutes, and with the limited time they had gave room for just a few songs, but one of them was Crazy Diamond. I am not the great Pink Floyd fan, with the exception of a few songs, but I could hear the quality of the music. And the style was there :)

We have done well lately, getting others to take out picture, even though all the pictures looks alike :-)
Nazareth came on stage almost at scheduled tome, and as said, the sound was really terrible, but we had fun anyway. And when they played Dream on, we all sang along and drowned the lead vocal 100%, they didn't have a chance :-)

Nazareth, there were actually close to 20 guards at one point, and sometimes they had their work cut out for them, but in the end, thay laid back and left it to us, in the front, to keep the crowd back
Norsk Imsdal - vann, var godt ja :-)
Norwegian Imsdal - water, was great :-)
Og selvsagt måtte skottene ta fram sekkepipa - kult.

The Scotts had to pull out the bagpipe - cool
More people arrived for Nasareth
There were some great guitar-solo's, but i still missed a lot of the old hits that I know by Nazareth.
